80GB console had 4 USB ports on the front and a front lid that flipped up to reveal card readers was the only model to support playing PS2 games.
If you have the new 80GB console (with 2 USB ports and no card readers) which is simply the old 40 GB console (which also could not play PS2 games) with a larger hard drive.
